The very sophisticated system I use was first developed by Suzanne Caygill in the 1940s. Because no one is all “warm” or all “cool” she created 24 basic color types (six for each of the four Seasons, to accommodate the wide variety of natural coloring in each Season). Many copycat systems followed, often generic and simplified. Color Me Beautiful was especially popular.
Below are two Color Me Beautiful Summer palettes: the one on the left (way too bright!) from Carol Jackson’s original book, and the one on the right more current, but still too generic for most Summer types.
My system is much more refined and scientific. Lengthy training is required. The analysis process itself is done one-on-one, face-to-face, and takes about three hours to create a custom palette that includes the very best hues for the client, with clear guidance on how to create a harmonious wardrobe that reflects your seasonal harmony, and how to use each color with intention. My luxurious fabric swatches come from a color lab in California with an inventory of 20,000 (!) gorgeous hues.
Isn’t it time for you to look like who you really are? A personal palette custom created just for you is an lifetime investment that gets more useful and powerful the longer you use it. Why wait?
